Last week I woke up to what I thought was dead battery. My wife's car wouldn't jump it but my buddies truck did, though it was slow to catch. Ran fine for a couple days. Didn't run it all weekend and had the same issue this morning. Battery tested fine but bought another anyway. It was 4 hearts old. Starter tested fine. Put starter back in. Hooking up battery I noticed some crud on the connections. Cleaned them off. Turned key, starter engage but had a tough time turning over, but it did start. Does this sound like poor connections? Anybody got any hints?

Starter was clean especially since I took it off. Battery connections are clean also. Ground strapping?

unknown at this time.
you will find some large looking grounding wire on back of right cylinder head on the vortec that goes to various harnesses and to the frame nearby. the frame one is the ground path for the starter.and the electric feed thru that same ground strapping. do you seen corrosion at the end of the cables?
