I posted this on the introduction page earlier today but wanted to post on the correct page as well:

hello all,

I purchased a 94 Yukon GT Michigan rust bucket 1/17. After dropping the fuel tank and repairing all the rusted fuel and brakelines it's finally on the road minus a brakebleed and TPS sensor swap. Not knowing what the previous owners did prior, I'm looking for some dimensions on the rear window strut pin locations. For some reason the bottom pin threaded holes are missing. I assume the rear quarters have been replaced and the pins are added after. If anyone with a similar year could take a tape measure and scribble a diagram I would greatly appreciate it.

Yesterday I took some pictures to better describe my request.

the top picture is the parts I found in the back. The second is the pillar with no pin mounting hole. I'm pretty sure the upper pin needs to go on the window frame. There is a place for that already.IMG_4509.JPGIMG_4504.JPG

I'll take some measurements on my 98 this evening. I would think it would be the same for your 94.

Shoot me a reply tonight in case I forget.

In your second photo, I'm pretty sure mine doesn't have that pin that close to the top, I think it's down midway on the pillar.

Well, looks like they changed the pin locations after 1994.

In your second photo, that looks to be the pin that the strut attaches to. The other end of the strut must connect to the liftglass frame.

Here's a 1994 Blazer...

And here is a 98 (not mine) but you can see the pin is lower and has a cutout in the trim panel.

Looking at those 2 pics, my glass and frame is from a newer model. My frame post is up at the top also. I will need the pin location on the glass frame not the pillar.

So are you keeping the pins on the pillar? I would bet that there is some reinforcing plate behind them.

So you need the liftglass pin measurements on a 92-94, correct?

Yes, the glass pin locations would be what I'm after. I assume the rest of the hardware I have will work with the original 94 setup.

Thanks east302. I figured it from the 2 pictures you sent. I ended up putting 10mm rivet-nuts in the window frame for the pins.
