Yes all GM Engines and Transmissions use the same bell housing bolt pattern. As far as fitment, shafts, TCM, and all the details. Thats a big bucket of worms to open

It will bolt up, but you may need 6l80e PCM for PCM from the NNBS that can be programed to it. It maybe a company thats makes a standalone controller.. But NO its NOT a direct plug and play.

Your better off doing a 4L80e swap that can be segmented to use your same PCM.

Ok, really wish I could get away from this 4 speed!!! Thanks for all the info.

easiest way is to swap both gen4 engine and 6l80e tranny, with wireharness and pcm.... Even still it needs to communicate with your instrument cluster and gauges.

I think that is to much tranny for a 5.3L call Mike at compushift and see if he has one for it or if the Compushift II will work with the 6L80. thats a stand alone controller BTW.

It will work, but there are at least 5 specific issues you need to address: ECM, Harness, DBW & Pedal, Cam and Crank reluctor, and knock sensors.
