I have a problem that I troubleshot down to 8 fuses. they must have something in common that is causing my battery drain problem. It started about 2 weeks ago, and has only gotten worse since then. I can't even get it to start now without jumping it off of another vehicle. So I hooked up a mA meter inline with the positive battery cable, I pulled all fuses, then put them in 1 by 1 and here is what I have come up with. My meter only will read up to 24 mA.
- fuse 46 (IPC) 10 Amp
- fuse 45 (air bag batt) 15 Amp
- fuse 64 (LBEC1) 60 Amp
- fuse 42 (RDO) 15 Amp
- fuse 35 (DLIS) 2 Amp
- fuse 39 (HVAC BATT) 10 Amp
- fuse 72 (LBEC2) 60 Amp
- fuse 21 (FSCM) 25 Amp
If I put any of those fuses in it draws more than 24 mA. I have looked around under the dash looking for a sharp edge or something that could cause a short. I don't even know what all these fuses are for, but I'm guessing they must have something in common. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Shaun
