Just purchased this truck 4 days ago and went to play a dvd and getting no sound through speakers, it did not come with the wireless head sets or remote. the truck has the bose system from factory. The dash indicates a headset icon on the radio. the rear controls on the console will switch to am fm and cd but not dvd. does anyone know how to switch the icon on the face of the dash mounted radio. i've looked up the owners manual online did everything it stated then some. sound works with am/fm/cd and also works with wired headset. but no sound for dvd player. Ive read most of the threads on here about how to fix it but havent seen anyone with this exact issue. (headset Icon). just want to know if its operator error or something wrong with system. Thanks for taking the time to read and or help =)

I may not have understood your problem correctly but...
The factory unit dash panel (and/or steering wheel) should include a source SRC button. Scanning through the source options with this button and selecting RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment System) will output the DVD audio to the speakers.

I pushed the src button on wheel armrest and the aux/cd on the stereo itself and it will go to am, fm, fm2,and cd. But it will not go to anything else. I did how ever get sound for the dvd player by hitting the menu button on dvd player screen and highlighting fm and put it on 90.1 and put tuner on 90.1fm and you can hear it through front speakers but not back also has like static like the station is not coming in all the way.
Not sure what they use for factory but its a power acoustik dvd player drop down style. its has a light on the stereo for dvd that you can see when the sun hits it right not sure if that helps or not. also has rca jacks mounted behind drivers seat and the owners manual does show that and says it for hooking game system up to dvd player.

If you're getting audio on an FM channel it's an aftermarket DVD that is FM modulated.
