    Misfire Issue when it rains

yeah, the spray test is just to show if spark is jumping out...wont show problem with wires to coil connector..except maybe to cause a misfire...need to check coil signal wires in harnes and i believe each bank has common ground...you can try splicing into one ground wire with a piece of wire...

    Misfire Issue when it rains

hmmm...at this point i would check the integrity of cyl 6 coil connector plug and the 4 wires i believe it has feeding into it. you may have to take some tape off and see it there is a chafe...perhaps seal up where wires enter connector with some sealant..from your symptoms....fine when...

    2001 yukon electrical issue

as a test connect one end of a black jumper cable to batt negative and other end of black jumper cable to block somewhere and try cranking...if it starts you have a bad negative battery cable..common on these models. can do the same thing from batt pos to starter pos and try cranking..if it...

    Parking brake (yes, another one!)

Ahh, i see. Well, the loose cables are a common fail so hopefully it will help others that end up on this post tracking that problem. Good luck on your quest. I had it and my co-worker had it and spacers tightened things right up.

    Parking brake (yes, another one!)

My money is on loose cables..there is a fix in forum post link below. it utilizes a spacer to allow more travel of rod/cable through adjuster bracket under bottom of truck. a stack of nuts with an inner diameter large enough to slide up and down threaded rod will also work in lieu of spacer...

Cold Air Intake (CAI) on 2013 6.2L - worth doing?

yep, from all the research and reading i've done...the best bang for buck on these is a tune...from factory the box, exhaust, heads, are all really quite optimized already for average guy like me who stays in low rpms most of time

    Misfire Issue when it rains

swap the 6 coil and wire with cyl 4. if problem moves you have a coil or wire issue. if so, switch wire back to 6..if it returns back to 6 its the wire. if it stays on 4 its the coil.

Yet another Yukon with engine tick and low oil pressure

yes, check for exhaust manifold tick if its developed a loose spot...has fooled many folks if not, also, my 2002 liked an ac delco filter better than wix and mobil for start up sounds never thought it would make a difference but it did...

Code : P2A04 Oxygen sensor question

yes, the two rear are inconsequential to engine performance, but will throw a light when they decide to go lazy...at your mileage now I think its a good call to knock out all four as you intend..

Code : P2A04 Oxygen sensor question

good plan..soak them all down with pb blaster while they are a bit warm after a drive and use a 7/8 or 22mm to turn each just a bit tighter..yes tighter...this will develop some hairline micro cracks in the threads allowing capillary action to pull in the pb. the next day things will go a lot easier

Which is best fuse to pull for anti-theft?

yeah, i think crank fuse would be a good one...wouldnt even have to mess with going under hood twice as its right on left side dash...just slide it in a blank slot or under car mat. I attached a diagram so folks can see its role in starting circuit.

    Knock Sensors- Engine stumble

HAAA! sounds like you learned that lesson personally...same reason I don't let wife around when I'm working. And I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you. I've gotten bit by secondary voltage and it is NOOO fun, my arm was numb up to my shoulder for the rest of the afternoon! thank god...

    Intermittent Start - SOLVED

Ahhh...yes...there's a variable isn't it. Looks like maybe an aftermarket remote start or alarm unit. Must not have been letting an ignition signal through. Great that it is out and now you're starting and running!

Interesting Discovery Under Hood Fuse Box...

as others have said, check underneath of fuse box as well. get some peppermint oil (rodents hate the stuff) from dollar store and squirt some underneath and in top part of fuse box..had a critter once a few years ago..did that..and nothing since. i re-apply every other oil change

Brakes won't bleed following control module replacement

if drivable, try going on gravel road or grassy area and slam on brakes several times thereby activating abs, let it rest a few minutes then do several times again. may get air out of pump and then bleed at wheels again. repeat as necessary...worth a try, worked for me once.

    Crank but no start-please help

If coils all arent delivering spark i would suspect a wiring fault in ignition coil circuit. most likely ground (g102 ground on side of engine is known for getting corroded and is the common ground point for all coils) or power but maybe reference low. all coils share a common wire for each of...
