Replacing luggage Rack
what part of the rivnut did you chisle/hammer to to get it off? I'm helping a buddy with the roof rack on his jeep overland which he screwed up 2 of the rivnuts while swapping the roofrack on/off so many times while doing more stuff to it. The 2 rivnuts just spin in the roof now. -

AC condensor removal
Can anyone give me some pointers on this? I just finished replacing the engine/trans in my truck and am now moving on to replacing all of the a/c components and I'm stuck trying to get the condenser out of the truck? MFI upgrade
had to do the upgrade when I replaced the top end of the motor in my tahoe last year, it was missfiring on 2 cylinders and throwing lean codes. knock on wood, no problems, gas mileage is still the same 15mpg as near as I can tell. Truck feels slow to me, but all my other cars have a lot more...- Blind

99' Tahoe 5.7 Vortec power upgrades
don't bother with shorty headers, longtubes with a nice x-pipe crossover with magnaflo cats into a borla/dynomax/magnaflo muffler is the way to go for exhaust. like to avoid the $550+ shipping for one of those, I can get a pair of magnaflow 2.5" cats in the same case size for ~$130 and just cut out the old and clamp these in myself. are there really no o/r y-pipe options? LOL not in CA, I can't even have a muffler shop weld in replacement cats to the stock y-pipe, they can only sell and install OE cats as a complete mid pipe bolt in unit to the stock location on any 1996 and newer cars by CA law, or face a $10k fine if caught. to install magnaflo cats I have to...- Blind

Thanks, I removed and installed the distributor a couple of times trying to get it to lock into place, it feels bottomed out to me, but that must be it. timing is very hard to verify on this motor, with only the mark on the balancer and the stamped pointer on the timing cover to line it up to... -

Back story: I have a `96 tahoe sport with 121k miles. About 5 years ago, it started mixing coolant into the oil pan very badly. It was my brothers at the time, and he replaced the intake gaskets but the problem remained, he parked the truck on non-op and just let it sit until about a year ago...
