I have a new 2018 Yukon Denali in Black and I am amazed at how many scratches and swirls are all over the truck.
I had a 2010 Escalade in Black and the paint on that looked better than the Yukon by a mile even after 5 years when I traded it.
I know black vehicles show everyting but I think...
Thanks, I do park outside and have set up my nest cameras to watch it.
So far there has not been any additional scratches.
Appreciate the suggestion, its a a good one.
I purchased a new 2018 Yukon Denali in Jan 2018 and have been having issues with several major scratches on the bumper areas only (never on metal)
It started on the rear bumper (lower portion only) and then happened on the rear plastic quater panel.
Looks like claw/ animal scratches. It does...
Picked up a new 2018 Denali fully loaded last month and traded in my 2015 Yukon Denali.
Several excellent improvements that make a big difference
1- 10 Speed transmission
2- Active grill- much quieter
3- Apple Car play and Android Auto
4- Teen driver function
5- Wireless phone charging
6-...
In the end I just traded it in on a new 2018 Denali :). I did have the battery replaced for free by the dealer but had to take the same delco battery. As soon as the cold came back so did the alarm issue. I tested the battery during start up and it dropped to 9 volts which is a little lower...
I would have the battery load tested. I have an alarm issue in the remote start that related to the voltage dropping below 9 during starting the battery. The alarm would assume that the battery was being disconnected. This would only occur when temps were below freezing. Never happened spring...
As an update, the alarm continued to go off during the deep freeze, now that we are back up above 32f it stopped going off. I tested the new battery and it would drop below 9 amps during start.
I suspect the issue relates to the battery and the colder it gets the more often the alarm goes off...
As an update, - 11 F outside temp this morning and the alarm went off again so I am back to square one. Clearly we are having extreme low temps lately and there has to be some connection to temp and alarm. Trick is to find out what it is, its a brand new Delco battery so that cant be it.
As an update, I used my voltmeter and saw that when cold the amps were 12.3, then when starting the engine it dropped to 8.1 amps which indicates a battery issue.
Took it back to the dealer and asked if they tested the battery , and they admitted they did not test it properly ran all their...
Thanks, I believe the dealer verbally said there were low voltage codes in the history, but did not write that down on the work order. Odd they would not check the battery with a low voltage message. I will check it this morning with my voltmeter as it is another frosty morning. Hopefully, this...
I will have the battery tested as a next step, they should last longer than 2.8 yrs...but its possible. I won't let the dealer get away with shoddy service, its why I usually don't go to the dealer . In this case, I contacted the gm goodwill ambassador program so I had to take it to the dealer...
I did take it to my local dealer, they claimed there was no code for the alarm, verbally said there were some old low voltage codes but did not write them down and indicated there was an old code for the service 4wd message. They claim the BCM is fine. It appears they disconnected the battery...
I had my seat heaters replaced under warranty last year but the issue still persists. They claim they have reduced the amount of heat allowed on the heats during remote start but we still feel nothing in remote start, but they are super hot under a normal on operation once the vehicle is...
I have not had it hooked up to the machine at the dealer when I called them they had said they never heard of this happening.
It will be a next step for sure if nobody in the forum has had the same issue.
Thank you for the idea and equipment suggestion, its appreciated.
I have a 2015 Yukon Denali, once we started to get the below 32f outside temp my factory car alarm goes off when using remote start? It has been fine for over 2 years just started this year.
I have disconnected battery
Followed all the steps in the manual for remote start.
I have also noticed...
