    Do or have a compression check done on cylinders. With a 5.3 that has AFM\DOD, most likely it will be a lifter issue. and if it is related to AFM and you have it repaired, please get the AFM crap deleted or at least disabled.

    Runs terrible when cold.

    Has fuel pressure been checked? Do you have a "check engine light" ? If so pull the codes and go from there. Just went through a similar issue with my Tahoe. I ended up replacing fuel pump module in gas tank.

    Thanks everyone!, sorry for the delay. Yes had a check light, it was set for bank 1 and 2 too lean. Yes pressure was not good, would idle but die under load, fuel pump is bad. Thanks again!!
