    100km (60 miles), burnt half a tank?

    Anyone else have issues with a faulty gas gauge reading? My tank was showing empty, with about 40km (24 miles) left until empty and was only able to get $80.00 in or roughly 88 Liters (23 gallons). I drove about 100 km (60 miles) and the tank is below half way.... It just seems like one thing...

    Got my truck back from the shop. $1675.00. Not bad I guess. Bent valve, broken valve guide, crushed lifter. A piece of the valve guide was banging around in the chamber....

    Guess I was wrong....Still mis-firing. Pretty sure the valve is bent. I put air in the #3 chamber through the spark plug hole and all I could hear was a loud hissing. Nothing coming out of the oil dip stick so pulled the air intake off and sure enough, loud and clear. Taking it in to the dealer...

    Thanks for the replies! Turns out the intake valve spring on the #3 broke into three pieces and was banging around in there. I rotated the crank shaft until the #3 was at TDC and the valve was all the way up. It doesn't look bent. The push rod seems fine as well. I rolled it on a piece of glass...

    What a nightmare buying this Tahoe has been. When I bought it, was in really good shape. Suspension was tight and quite, engine fairly quite and just an all around good truck. I drove for two years with no issues. Kept a regular maintenance schedule and out of no where, problem after problem...

    Thanks for the reply. I got it back together and it turns out it was not the axle bearing...The diff is howling most likely the bearings. Except now, the Service 4wd light is on and its actually stuck in 4wd. I'm gonna bring it into the shop to get it looked at.

    I should have researched a bit more before posting. I was a bit confused cause my repair manual doesnt show this part. Its a wheel speed sensor reluctor. Does anyone know the proper way to reinstall one of these? I am thinking this is what the grinding noise was as I have an ABS light on as well...

    Thanks so much. Re routed the line above the frame and this fixed the issue. I am now seeing a few new cel's that were not there prior to changing the sending unit. P0442 (Leak, could be a few things) P0455 (Leak, could be a few things) P069E MIL illumination???
