yes a 4 channel amp will be more then fine if you want to keep things simple i would say get a compact amp vs a full size high power one and mount it in the same spot as the factory bose amp is mounted this way everything looks stock. now when it comes to wiring you are gonna need to extend the...
starting off another build i upgraded from my 05 hoe to a 2011 so this should be fun.
on the first day I got her.
now first things first getting all the wiring together that csx left in.the last one was just laziness from the up fitter they could have used a tap a fuse.
I would say stick to an aftermarket amp as it will be alot easier to add in. SSV might not have the center console wiring and the stock bose amp uses gm lan as a wake up so even if yo had the center console wiring it would still be missing some other wires that the stock amp uses. so in the end...
So haven't been up to to much lately but i did get around to taking the hydroboost unit out and replacing its seals as it started to leak on the halfs. Overall its not to hard to take out or take apart just watch out for some small parts and make sure when putting the halfs back together you...
Im sure it will be a hell of a surprise to them if i beam they back lmao also yeah they are but the led pods are just so slightly off it just personally drives me crazy but i'll live with it lol
yes they are
My pc went down again so i'm playing catch up to updating this.
I got around to getting projectors and they are a night and day difference no more lost light.
hid in oem housing before,
now with projectors after. I shot the first picture with different setting so you guys can get a better...
I got around to doing this finally. tinting the amber signals red. I also converted the turn signal to a dual input so now the stock brake and turn signals do park light/brake/turn signal. I think this gives it a better look and makes it closer to the newer year trucks that do this already.
I was thinking the same thing and i'm working on a idea to strengthen this point but in order for this to move i would think it would have to snap the 4 grade 12 lower bolts.
no it didnt have to be cut, you would have to remove the covers that go around the tow hooks thats all.
LMFAO that definitely was the unintended outcome of added it but i always wanted this style over the wing ones.
i payed $280 free shipping. also it mounts around the tow hooks at the lower point and mounts to the frame on the upper side as well. all the parts feel very well made no thin or flimsy metal.
(1st and 3rd pic show the lower mounts)
hope this helps.
So i haven't been around in abit as my pc died now that its finally back up im gonna just make a big post with all the updates. I have taken a couple trips to pick n pull yards in pa and rl and they have been great
been able to find some little things i have been missing.
now for what's new,
go...
overall i have not felt much difference the most noticeable thing i have seen was that you get a more leveled look with the front handling feels fine. I might go out and get new spring once day when i get time. I was gonna try z71 springs but i hear you get a bit of lift out of them.
add in the post how it looks mounted forgot to add that picture yesterday
I used rustoleum pro 2 and then a semi gloss clear coat i think it matches abit better
yes you can just do the kit without the servo and it will still be good its just a nice little extra to add.
also this is my 2nd...
i really got to get on that and get it done soon,
on another note i found out why i lost 5th fan speed and i got some painting done while i was at it.
This last bolt to get the black cover off on the passenger side is the biggest pain as there is barley any space to get the socket in but...
you can definitely feel the difference on that 1-2 shift, feels much better. i think next im gonna do the vett servo.
I was thinking of doing something like that or bedliner for them but i went with the x2 paint from rustoleum as a top coat after the rust converter gonna see how it holds up.
Today i has finally taken care of a rust spot that has been bugging me for awhile and it also gave me the chance to paint the lower rockers black and i think it looks so much better. also this was my first time using bondo i know it could have came out better >_< lol
flushed and changed transmission fluid as well as installing the transgo shift kit
out with the old
even got the cencom backlight hook up to the park to come on at night and off during the day
also the new mic hangers as well
part 2
led fogs
i didnt have to make any custom mount just reuse the factory mount after removing the original fog light base and all worked just right.
i added in male connectors to make everything plug and play. the 7 inch bars fit in just right with some room to spare.
i even...
