    Found the solution. The Tahoe wasn't started for more than two weeks and I had multiple cycles of open/close the gate. I guess after so many, it disables the feature until you restart the vehicle. Spent hours searching and it was just that. Jeez.

    steering wheel still shaking after balancem and new tires

    Are they aftermarket wheels? See if there is a small security washer around the base of one of the stems. Aftermarket wheels typically don't drill out the back side to accommodate a security washer. It happened to me and took me a while to figure it out. That could be the problem.
