I’m not 100% sure. I do know that Method only makes one offset option, for this wheel, in an 18” with our lug pattern. I remember that there wasn’t any options. It was just this one…so whatever you punch in on the method site, just pulls up this
Hey, thank you for the compliments. So I’m not 100% sure on the offset of the wheels (I think zero) but Method only makes one offset, in an 18” wheel with the lug pattern for our trucks. The speedometer is a slight bit off I think but nothing too drastic. I am going to ask the dealership to try...
Hey @UAEdunes , I don’t think the E rated tires are too much harsher in ride. In general, having a more off-road, knobby tires changes the ride a little and adds a little noise. To me, the looks and function definitely out-ways the slight desadvantages. I would say having a bigger sidewall with...
Yeah, they say you can trim and even pull that back and pin it back better. I drove it all over the past couple days and zero rubbing. I think this is absolute max tires size to have to do nothing…but could go a tiny bit more and trim. I’m real happy with the general look and not too heavy of a...
Thanks man, my wife and I are really happy with it. I agree that the 70’s give it just enough of a meaty look to the tire. Any smaller wouldn’t look right to me. I’ll post a pic of where it’s really really close to rubbing. I can’t even get a finger in there but I drove it around all day...
Not really, I looked in there and the tire is like an inch or so from the upper control arm knuckle deal that goes to the spindle, but seems like good enough room. I’d imagine it would be fine. I guess the only question is how much does the aftermarket A arm stick out more than stock. If it’s...
I thought I’d post mine up since I’ve asked a million questions on here. See if I could help someone else with questions. I ended up just doing the lower strut spacer (said it was 1.5”) with 18x9 method 316’s and 285/70/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Zero rubbing but I’m very very close to the...
I totally agree. That’s exactly why I’m hoping to come across someone who has done the ready lift with 18 or 17 inch wheels. Would love real world confirmation cause it’s hard to trust what is being said.
Ultimately, I don’t want to be the Guinea pig…I’m going to let the dust settle. I don’t...
I was thinking the same. At least in this case, he didn’t say no, just that they hadn’t tested it, so I appreciated that at least.
Are you going to run the ReadyLift or the rough country. Last time I thought you were saying rough country?
I just called ReadyLift to ask about their new 3” lift for magnetic ride 21-22 GM SUV’s. I asked if 18” wheels would work with the kit and he said they probably would. They just haven’t tested one with 18’s, only 20’s and larger. Does anyone on here have the 3” lift with 18’s?
Thanks in advance...
Thanks for the info. Your truck looks great! I’m glad to hear the strut spacer is working for you and to see the tight clearance to keep an eye on. Thanks for the link
@olyelr what kind of lift do you have? Is it just the lower strut spacer? The U shaped deal? Seems like that’s the least intrusive way to go. I would imagine just 1-1.5” isn’t going to throw off the driveshaft like a 3-4” lift would. My plan is to just throw on a lower strut spacer until the...
All 3 of the companies? Rough Country game me one hell of an elaborate story about causing vibration because of the harmonic balancer just to say that they haven’t done research and development. Sounds to me like they’ve had complaints and are trying to fix an existing problem
Just a question for you…if rough country comes out with a specific magnetic ride kit, by the time your SUV is delivered….would you get the magnetic ride kit over the current kit? Or would you still get the standard kit?
So, since I posted this, I’ve been researching and talked to rough country. Rough country told me that it does not work with magnetic ride and they were working on a kit that specifically worked with it. He told me to check back late summer. I was also looking at Ready Lift’s website and in the...
I’m fine trimming. I have a raptor and trimmed a lot to fit 37’s. I’ve had plenty of trucks in the past that I’ve had to trim up. Part of me going big with the tires…is that I will definitely be going bigger with the lift later. Pretty sure it was you who I was talking about the magnetic ride...
Dude…that’s basically my exact setup I want. Method 316’s and toyo at3’s. I’m getting a suburban RST 6.2 but actually wanted the diesel (just had to switch due to supply constraints). Only small difference is I’m looking at 18” wheels with a level lift. I’m going to try 295/70/18’s which is a...
This was a heated debate for a long time with my wife and I. I too thought 3 across made the most sense. My wife wanted bucket seats. So guess what…we got bucket seats ….although with the agreement that she would be the one climbing in the back to strap our oldest in.
I will say, we have rented...
Am I crazy to want to put 295/70/18’s on a 22 suburban RST that’ll have a 1.5” strut spacer? Seeing the guy with stock suspension who runs 285/70/17’s made think lifting 1-1.5 more inches, shouldn’t I be able to clear a 34” tire?
@DWSmoot, seems like you have great experience with tire sizes...
