how long do you plan on keeping your tahoe/yukon?

Mine will be my daily beat until it falls completely apart. I love my 1999, blown shocks and all.

    I think I need a lift

Yup, pretty sure the expedition is up 5" I'll measure the blocks when wife gets home. All in all I like the tahoe just fine, but I worry about clearance issues in the deep snow. (which is when my phone rings.) I'd seriously like to put 31x10.5's on it, like I had on the old 4runner. But I'm...

    I think I need a lift

So I got this truck from the original owner. Everything seems to be factory. But my truck makes a sad face when I park it next to the wife's 1997 expedition that has a 5" body lift. Most of my miles are highway miles, but if I get a emergency call, and there is 4 feet of snow, I still...

    Hello

I've got a 1999 tahoe as well. Welcome, this is a great brain trust. ---------- Post added at 07:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:29 PM ---------- Wife's expedition sits a bit taller though, I need to get to work on that.

    My audio delima.

Well, I've been going over things, and relearning all about the toys I can add in. (Those new digital amp's are TINY!) And as I'm an android and apple user. call me ambidextrious. I've decided, much as I didn't want to join the Double Din crowd, I'm gonna have to. I really like the spec's on...

    My audio delima.

That looks seriously sharp. And along the lines of what I want. I'll get some pics today of what I'm working with. The previous owner is a super great dude, but as I'm tracking problems, I am hating his mechanic more and more.

    My audio delima.

Still digging info on the head unit. Back many moons ago I kept track of all of these things, and would know off the cuff what I wanted. Now things are crazy. The truck came with a pioneer headunit that I'm going to skip across the driveway. It works alright untill you plug in the phone...

    Help me choose a tire

My 1986 toyota 4runner has worn the same set of Big O brand "bigfoot" AT's for about 15 years now. These are 31" by 10.5" on an otherwise stock 4 cyl toyota. I may look for a set of these when my Tahoe needs new shoes.

    Just some headlight fog

Toothpaste, and a polishing cloth. And a lot of elbow grease. Or just get some Flitz, and be done with it.

    My audio delima.

Or however you spell it. I am an electrical engineer. And I went to school for broadcast engineering many moons ago. Nice as that sounds, it makes me an audio and tv snob. As my truck is running fine for getting to work no matter the weather here, my radio leaves a lot to be desired. Sounds...

My new to me 1999 4 door 4wd

As I had mentioned in my new member thread. I've recently acquired a 1999 tahoe. For the most part it's a pretty clean truck. With 175,000 miles on it. The previous owner never wheeled in it, and basically used it to get to hunting camp and back. He'd fix things when they broke, and didn't...

    New from MA

Howdy folks. I live in MA. A little south of Boston. The car I had been using as my work run around finally gave in and died the terrible death it deserved. (2006 pontaic grand prix GXP.) And in my searches for a new vehicle for work, I scored a 1999 Tahoe for a great price. It came from a...
