Noise and Wobble in front end accompanied with tire wear.

Sorry for the delayed post. Thank you all for your replies. I found a bad wheel hub assembly along with the bad CV boot. I also found a bad tie rod end boot, but I think the tie rod was still ok. I replaced the CV boot, the wheel hub assembly, and the tie rod end. I just decided to do...

Noise and Wobble in front end accompanied with tire wear.

I have been out looking, and I found a CV boot torn on one side. Luckily I don't think that the CV joint is damaged yet. It looks like it has just started slinging grease everywhere. I just changed the oil not long ago, and the grease wasn't there. I also found that the right hub is loose...

OK. Thanks. I will take a look there. I have replaced the upper recently. I will take a look at the lower.

Noise and Wobble in front end accompanied with tire wear.

Thank you for your quick reply. This wheel hop isn't normal for this Yukon though. We have put nearly 80,000 miles on it, and this is new. I believe it's the wheel hop that's causing the tire wear. My concern is what's causing the wheel hop.

Noise and Wobble in front end accompanied with tire wear.

I noticed yesterday that my wife's Yukon had some odd front tire wear. They have chunks taken out of them. I asked her about it, and she said " Oh yeah. I've been meaning to say something. It makes a popping noise when I turn really sharp." Driving normally it feels fine. There may be a...

    Radio flickers

If that's not it, check your alternator. When mine started going out my radio flickered, but the headlights and dome lights also flickered.

    2007 Tahoe Misfiring Badly

I had this issue on my Yukon with the 6.2. Didn't have compression, and it ended up having a broken valve spring. Mine doesn't have the AFM, but they symptoms of the running rough and missing were the same.

2007 Yukon Delali 6.2liter will start but will not run

Sorry for the Delay in response. I have been really busy with work. I took it to a mechanic that I know since I didn't have time to work on it. He started it, and it was running codes for cylinder 5 and 7 missing and would barely run while holding down the gas. They did a compression test...

2007 Yukon Delali 6.2liter will start but will not run

I have a 6.2 Liter Denali that will start, but it will not run unless I hold the gas down. Holding the gas down will keep it running, but it has a severe miss. It was running perfectly. My wife and I had been in it all morning with no problems. We stopped at a store, got back in it, it...

Cold Start Engine Knock Concern 09' 6.2L

I have an 07 6.2L that does the same thing. I haven't had it long, but it has been doing it since we had it. I changed the oil because I thought maybe the dealer used a cheap filter without an anti drain back valve. That wasn't it. I also used synthetic oil. It still makes the noise. It...

    growling type of noise

Pretty sure it would not be the ABS pump. Does it only vibrate at low speeds too? It could possibly be a U Joint too.

    Help me diagnose drivetrain issue

Sounds like the Slip Yoke issue that several people on here have talked about. Do a search on the forum for "Slip Yoke" ,and see if those threads lead you in the right direction.

To change or not to change tranny fluid.

Same for me. I did a pan drop, changed the filter, and replaced the 6 quarts at 120,000mi. The fluid was brown, but didn't smell burnt at all. We have put about 5,000 miles on it since with no problems, and the fluid is now red. I am glad that I changed it.

Storage compartment door jacked up from the factory

To me the picture looks like the top left corner is sunk down. Is there any screwdriver adjustment on the hinges inside the compartment? If not, I bet you would have to take the whole console out to adjust it if there is any adjustment at all.

'08 Transfer Case Fluid - Syn or Not?

I believe that all Dextron VI is synthetic. I believe that is what makes it the VI. That's why they allow you to substitute VI in the older cars, but not the other way around.

When do your fans come on?

The same. We have only had it for a couple of month's, and it's been pretty hot the whole time that we've had it. I'm not sure how it will do in the winter, but I assume it will take a little longer.

    Premium fuel =less mpg.

The 6.0 would take a different CPM, so one tune would not work for the 2 different engines.

Battery/Charging Issues in New Models? 3 dead trucks!

I wonder how long they sat without being run? With all of the electronics on these things now, there is always something drawing the batteries. It's possible they have been sitting for a couple of months without a chance to run long enough to recharge the battery.

    Remote Start Stopped Working

For some reason my remote start 07 Yukon Denali stopped working Sunday. It was working fine until then. I am not sure if this is a coincidence or not, but the check engine light came on the night before. The code was for the EVAP system. I found that the torque limiter on the gas cap was...

    Retractable Side Step Issues

I have the same problem with my running boards on an 07 Denali. They work most of the time, but they sometimes get stuck in either position. It is really hard on my wife because she is relatively short, and she needs the running boards. The batter could be your problem I guess, but ours will...

Bendix Ceramic Brake Pads is Made in China

I talked to the guys at NAPA when I was getting rotors, and finding American made brake parts is getting harder and harder. He said that he is told that the EPA is running everybody out. The closest he could get to an American made rotor for my work car was steel that was made in the USA, and...

08 Yukon Denali Power assist runningboard problems

I just bought an 07 Denali. My power running boards work most of the time, but sometimes they seem to get in a bind or something. They click and pop like the motor tries to run but don't move. Sometimes they don't make any noise at all. I have tried to lubricate the hinges, but it's hard to...
