    MPFI Opinion

I figured as much, just wanted someone to confirm my thoughts on spending the money now rather than get screwed later. Sunlit what exactly would a machine shop do to clean the manifold and why would I need it done? I'm not doubting it's a good idea, just making sure I know what I'm gonna do...

    MPFI Opinion

I have to pull the intake to change the lower intake manifold gaskets that are leaking. I took a peak down my throttle body the other day and noticed my fuel spider is the original CSFI unit. Is it worth spending the money on a new one? Money is pretty tight as it is. I have no issues that I can...

    Headers and EGR tube problem

I managed to get my hands on a set of edelbrock shorties for my 99 tahoe. I had the drivers side manifold off, no broken bolts, and then removed the egr tube. The tube itself came off fine, but I need to take the adapter that couples the tube to the manifold so I can attach the tube to the...

In need of a dual inlet glasspack

Thrush sells a dual outlet glasspack that can be reversed to make it a dual inlet. I believe stock piping is 2.5" but you'd be better off measuring. http://www.thrushexhaust.com/pdf/thrush.pdf

    2000 Tahoe z71 Starting Issues

Yea these old distributor systems from GM are known for this. Even quality GM parts wouldn't solve problems for long. I had the same issue if I went to the car wash. I had to go to the self serve ones because I could stay away from the hood.

    Question on exhaust

Like Sun said, you'll lose backpressure and you'll most likely feel it when you hit the gas. Removing them also tends to lead to a more raspy sound than a deep rumble, but that all depends on the sound you like.

**I'm 10 hours from home. Help me diagnose this!!!**

Do the same issues occur if you leave it in park or neutral and go WOT? If they do then do a fuel pressure test and see if the pressures drop. If it only happens under a real load then most kits have hoses long enough to run them out the hood and up against the window. Go WOT and see i the...

    Hello from Mass

Thanks guys and yes that's the exact one. I've been jumping through hoops trying to get it, but finally did. Tires are junk and it needs an idler arm and an alignment bad, but other than that not too bad.

    Hello from Mass

Hi everyone. Just bought myself a 1999 Tahoe. It's the LT trim with all the options, 167k miles, and purchased for $1800. Truck came from down south so there's barely any rust underneath and the body and rockers are rust free. My name is Matt, I'm 21 and from south east Massachusetts. I go to...
