I never did a follow up. My Maf replacement only fixed/masked it for a month or two. It came right back and comes and goes. I have cleaned the new MAF with no results. The weather was in the 60's this weekend. No AC on - and it was doing it on every little incline with light throttle input...- pjw67

Update I checked the balancer while running - it looked smooth. Next took the maf out to clean it again. I noticed it was clean but that two of the three little bars with the resistors? on them were black. Almost burnt looking. Must not have noticed when I last cleaned it. Found a new...- pjw67

2003 Tahoe 4wd issues
I finally broke down and took it to an auto electrical diagnostic shop today. After a couple hours they said the tccm was shot. 2003 Tahoe 4wd issues
Recently bought a used 2003 Tahoe - 4x4 worked intermittantly. Bought on the cheap. Seller had quote from dealer to fix 4x4 for around 1100(reflash tccm and replace encoder). Service 4wd message was always on the dash. Dealer said code was C03-27 i believe. Truck was always stuck in 2wd...- pjw67
