    99 Yukon front axle

    We believe we found the problem. Both bump stops were slap worn out and gone and therefore allowing to much travel up and down and pulling on the axle. We would not have realized this if the same situation did not start happening on the driver side. Both bump stops replaced. Wait and see now.

    I can't convert the pic to something I can open and attach. The fella working on it says the "circlip keeps popping off of the axle shaft and we lose the front wheel pulling." The axle is walking away from the diff.

    Noise when in Auto or 4W high

    Mine used to have a whirring sound caused by a loose fit of the front axle and going into the t case. Parts were worn. Seems that is coming back around too even after a t case rebuild.

    99 Yukon front axle

    New member.......The passenger side axle will not stay in place. Seems the clip will not hold it in place and the axle subsequently slides out to far to make contact to make four wheel drive. Has anyone seen this? What did you do? This vehicle is not lifted. Thanks
