Hi all, will be dropping pan and refilling next week, 2008 Yukon XL Denali with 6L80.

My question is does anyone know if AC Delco makes a gasket/filter kit similar to the one they make for the 4L60?

I believe the AC Delco part for Gasket is 24224781.

Don't think so Greg. RockAuto doesn't show it and neither does GMPartsDirect. GMPD does show the combo for the 4-speed but different PN# for the 6-speed.

Tackled this today. Two tips I can offer if they help anyone.

1. Rather than using the round oil catch pan that I use for my oil changes, I purchased this large rectangular plastic bin from Walmart for $3.88. it was big enough to catch all the ATF, regardless if it came out of the front, back or sides once I started taking off bolts. As you can see from pic, very dirty fluid.

2. Did not need to use cheater bar or loosen exhaust at all. Once pan was un-bolted, I pulled gasket off and out first. That little 1/8 of an inch or however thick the gasket is was all that was needed. When I re-installed the pan, I slid the pan into place first, then slid gasket between pan and transmission and voila.
