I hate to be a pain but could you post your parameters for the ethanol content PID?

That's weird Ken. Keep driving and don't do a reset just yet. When you get to the point where you can add about 4-5 gallons, head back to that Mobil and top off. It takes 2-3 gallons for the computer to detect a refueling event and will begin to adjust the alky content all over again. I've had mine come "back on" and adjust many miles later, often days sometimes.

It's time Ken, It's time :D:

I drove it all day today with no change to the ethanol percentage... I will see what happens when I fill up again.

Believe me, if I had the spare cash to drop on a Tech2 I would. I haven't worked since my accident back in October and now, since my wife works for the school, she is off for the summer = no extra funds for funs.... lol

Did you download all the GM specific ones?
Click the gear
Click settings
Click manage extra PID/sensor
Click the menu top right
Click predefined set
Select Pontiac GM Opal

Yes... I did that to start off with but some of them don't work... which is why I have been trying to figure out what's going on with it.

I don't know if it has something to do with the year of my truck or what.

I posted all the PIDs the scan found and haven't really dug in to research what those are.

I am also not sure what it means when it shows the "unknown" PIDs in blue...

More research for me.... Hooray!!!

Well I am about ready to throw my OBD2 scanner and Torque Pro app out the window.

I filled up last night with Mobil 89 octane so that I could get some data on MPG with the 89 octane.

Did you get the app to give the right info? How'd that tank of gasoline work? I reckon you'll need another tank or two to completely remove the alcohol.

My wife has been driving my truck, like she stole it, so the mileage on E85 is about like a winston cup car. I'm about to switch back to gasoline too for some tests. I can get Mobil's 93 for $3.19 a gallon as of yesterday.

Never could get the ethanol percentage to change. I'm on the second tank of 89 now and still reads 74.9%... my brother has another Bluetooth OBD2 adapter I am going to try and see if it makes Amy difference.

Haven't bothered checking fuel mileage yet as I have no way of verifying ethanol content so I figured I would wait a few tanks.
