Killer look. I think I am going this route instead of the Denali front clip swap.

I'm reviving threads from the dead. I've decided I'm gonna catch a unicorn at the end of a rainbow, and Do an HD HOOD swap. I found one with no damage at all, just would have to paint it for $345. Thoughts? What am I looking at for paint?

That'll look bad ass! Depending on the body shop, $345 is in the neighborhood to do the paint. Not outrageous, but you could probably find it a little cheaper. But remember, sometimes you get what you pay for too. Where'd you find the Hood? Got a good deal on it?

do you have a pick of where the latch mounting bolts are? i put mine on, needs minor adjustment. But the weather has not cooperated at all so ive only looked briefly. My drivers front corner is just a hair high. But i can easily push it down to rest on the bumpstops. Im thinking if i just adjust the latch a bit i should be good. But i havent spend more than a few minutes looking at it.

I've had hoods pulled off of other vehicles that were slightly warped when fitted to my cars and trucks. I don't think the hood was defective or damaged, it was more like the car it came from was tweaked or otherwise just not built exactly the same (assembly line variances) and the hood took on the shape with one side being higher. Easy fix is to stack some towels under the hood on the core support, kinda between the center and the side that's high but probably more towards the center, and push down on the high side. I use a folded towel or two under my open hands to spread out the load so I don't dent the hood. Push down a few times, remove the towels and check for progress. You may also be able to pull up the low side. Just study how yours is fitting and do what is best and/or easiest. Adjust the bump stops accordingly when you're done. If I'm pushing down, I'll remove the latch assembly and spring on the hood so I don't have to keep going in the cab to pop the hood after every progress check. If pulling up the low side, you'll need the latch to hold the hood down.
