They make water tight connectors for that - Just poke a hole with a drill and use a Liquid tight connector. The connectors that I use are for S/O cords. Look up Liquid Tight Connector for flexible cords on google - they make different sizes depending on cord diameter. Ill attach an image of what...
I'm about to change mine out as well - I got some Focal 3-ways i'm gonna put in there. I've had the door panels off a few times all ready - they are easy. I haven't taken the dash grills off yet.

There is only 1 Subwoofer - if you look at the diagram above there is only 1 positive and a negative for subwoofer. There must be a misprint or they are using a...
Here are the wiring schematics for the Stereo and Amp. If anyone wants any other wiring let me know and I will post em up.
Radio
Amp - it is located behind the jack bracket in the rear of the vehicle.
Yeah well, that's warm compared to a few days ago. It was like -40 with the wind chill and they canceled schools even.
I will try to post some schematics up in the next week or two - I've been super busy lately and I will have to find the correct ones . I have around 800+ pages to comb...
Actually on the Audiocontrol DQ-61 you can tap right off the amp, it will accept up to 400watts per channel line-in. i'm not sure how many watts the Bose amp is putting out but I know it cant be over 400 watts per channel considering how small the amp is :)
I just checked my Radio and In my...
I have that one installed on my suburban - I like it but am disappointed at the finish and quality. They are actually powder-coated chrome and the stuff chips right off so be careful when doing the install. Also, it comes with some plastic crankcase adapters and be careful installing them as...
According to the schematic, as weird as it sounds, you clipped the "Crankshaft Position Sensor Replicated Signal" wire as seen in diagram below.
I was thinking of posting all of the radio schematics in a separate posting but not sure if anyone is interested in them...
In my install I was...
Definitely in the wrong section but on my 2000 suburban I had an issue where my ABS and traction control light was on - did a brake job and the wheel speed sensors had a load of grease on them from the bearing being bad - I took them out and cleaned them and worked fine ever since. If you look...
I would like to do the strut mod but I only have a cnc vertical mill in my garage - no lathe..... yet....
I think the spindles would be the best ride option - Plus i might later on want to add better quality lowering springs.
how deep do you cut the grove? how wide? and how far from the...
Does anyone have information on when spindles will be available? I have Crown Suspension coils in my rig and they are total crap. I need to put the stock coils in - the ride is so awful and now one side is compressing more than the other by 3/4". Took it to a shop and they checked the coils and...
Where are you getting the spindles from??? I have been checking weekly everywhere i can think of.
I have that crown suspension crap and need to take that junk out!!! I want the factory coils back in the front ASAP.
The trim is now riveted to the door and has to be drilled out to remove them - I just had to replace one that was dented from the factory. Its still pretty easy though - you'll just need a rivet gun to put them back on.
