I set it at #8 which is where it would not start and couldnt figure out why until I noticed the 6 so I turned it to the #1 position n it started.

The cap n rotor are for a v8 but the dizzy itself has a 6 instead of an 8 on it. For a v8 the Haynes was telling me to set it at #8 where as the for a 6 it should be set at #1.
