Yes both are from the old block, but good news after driving some more the check engine light went out, im gonna erase any codes left and see what happens. But so far runnin like a champ! And my god its amazing the difference from my old engine to the new one, old one had to be down 50+horse...- mcarlson83

Ya everytime i look at my tb is see him! Its kinda creepy! Lol So now that i have my baby up and running ill let ya all know what went on. i may seem like i have a handle on things, but not really, lol. with this whole disaster it also adds in 5 billion other questions, like trans issues that may pop up? how long till i snap cv's cause i know being lowered as much as i am puts a lot of undue stress on them! so in the next few...- mcarlson83

The walls seem good, i havent measured them yet. But i know i can get the head reworked, the only thing of concern isbwhere the valve goes through the head. They said they can press in new seats. But yes i love the 6.2 its a bad ass motor.- mcarlson83

im looking at a ls3 which is the 6.2, its a gm performance 376/525. https://m.summitracing.com/parts/nal-19301360 All the junkyard engines i have looked at are 4 to 5 grand, for a little extra skrilla i get a brand new motor with a 3year 75000 mile warranty. ya checked the silvy forum and read through 15 to 20 different threads on vvt but most guys are just upgrading the cam. i think im just going to go with the ls3 376/525 and drop it in and have the ecu rerogrammed to like the motor. might see if i can through the truck intake on cause i know they...- mcarlson83

i was wondering if anybody out there can tell me whats entailed in removing the vvt from the 6.2l??? or if i swap in a crate ls3 6.2 out of summit racing, i know the intakes are different, it doesnt come with vvt, do i just need to have the ecu reprogramed to tell it that the vvt is no longer...- mcarlson83

Its a 275/55/20, never measured that lol just dropped it and called it good. Well alingment which i think i need to get the offset control arm bushings, and camber bolt locks.- mcarlson83
