    Continued front axle trouble

@Mudsport96 I'm not sure what you mean? Are you saying that because the drivers side shaft is splined into the differential and passenger side is disconnected by the actuator?

    Continued front axle trouble

To a point I do wonder now if my dad and I caused something when we were trying to incorrectly reassemble things.

    Continued front axle trouble

This was the nightmare that I had. https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/inner-axle-shaft-fixin.136824/

    Continued front axle trouble

I had a post here a while back (like fall of 2022) about some trouble I was having doing some reassembly on my front axle after changing a shaft seal and needle bearing that mates to the drivers side CV shaft. Through some issues I ended up having to pretty much disassemble the entire thing...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Between yesterday and Friday did the u-joints on the rear driveshaft, rust proofed the frame with Fluid Film and fixed the exterior door handle for the drivers door.

    Strange vibration

@OR VietVet yea I'll have it back together tomorrow and will see how it feels. But yea very true. I'm just surprised it didn't vibrate at lower speeds.

    Strange vibration

So pulled the rear driveshaft down. The u-joint at the rear axle was actually bound up pretty good. It moved like it had detents inside the bearing caps. So this very well may have been the source of the vibration. Not sure what to think about the front axle though.

    Strange vibration

Finally have the chance to better check this out after a few weeks. I do have new u-joints to swap in, but I'm not so sure that's actually the issue. The current ones all feel tight. The play though I had noted at the drivers side output of the front axle where the CV shaft attaches seems to...

Exterior door handle - it don't work.

So the door handle does indeed need to be replaced? Mine are color matched so I'll to figure out where to find one. @OR VietVet I seem to remember something about silicone spray used on the weather stripping to keep it from sticking to the door. I never worried about it though because I...

Exterior door handle - it don't work.

I went to leave for work this morning and my drivers door was a bit froze shut (was 9F here). I had to tug the handle a couple times but then something inside the door broke so now the handle is not functional. The inside handle still works though. I was messing around with it after I got...

    Strange vibration

I'm thinking even changing the one at the rear axle too. Then find all new ones that have a grease fitting on the bearing cap so they can actually be greased without pulling the driveshafts down.

    Strange vibration

@rockola1971 from what I can tell U-joints may be original expect for the one at the rear axle (this one is greasable). I can't grease it though without pulling the driveshaft down because the fitting is on the center of the U-joint and my grease gun tip can't reach it. So that may not have...

    Strange vibration

Was checking this out the other night to see how the engine mounts were. From what I was able to find with bad mounts the engine should want to lift on the drivers side while giving throttle with the brake held and transmission in gear. I don't seem to have that going on. I do wonder though...

    Strange vibration

@OR VietVet can check them out. With the age and miles on the vehicle it's definitely possible they can be bad. What's a good source for them if they need to be changed?

    Strange vibration

I've got a vibration when driving that I haven't been able to figure out yet. It doesn't occur until I reach 65 mph. My first thought is u-joints but they've been tight whenever I check them. But from looking at them I can't tell if they've been changed recently. I do have some radial play...
