    Megan the Tahoe

I was a little hesitant to say this because I'm not exactly thrilled about it but I'm going to be selling the Tahoe :( The girlfriend, live-in variety, wants a '15+ Tahoe/Denali/Escalade and with my 2500HD not going anywhere it seems really silly to have 3 full size "trucks" in my driveway that...

    Megan the Tahoe

I did get it running well, just took a lot of back and forth with HPtuners until they got me access to every table and then after I was no longer fighting issues beyond my control I then had to learn how to tune... that took a little longer and I'm still far from an expert but I feel confident...

Yesterday I replaced rotors and pads all the way around. I found EBC USR series rotors for the rear for $71.71 shipped on a price mistake on Amazon. Actually they were supposed to be the GD series and they ended up shipping USRs. Either way I saved about $150-190 and so I bought the fronts to...

I have an update but things happened so I'm not going to post it all yet. This had around 170k when I bought it and it's around 184k now. My 2003 2500HD has over 230k miles and is still very clean and my friends' 2007 Classic 2500HD was at 315k miles and looked to be in even better shape in...

Didn't get a lot of pics today because I wasn't planning on doing most of what I ended up working on and I was covered in grease pretty much the entire time BUT I went out to swap my panhard bar after getting the correct one in the mail and got that installed. Very easy job for anyone wondering...

    Center console sub specs??

I was pretty shocked but the Kicker ZX1500.1 I had powering it is no slouch and it's an older and well known amp to have more power than it's rated for and each came with a sheet showing it's capabilities. I actually was wrong earlier the post for modifying my friends' Duramax Bose sub was post...

    Homelink Problem

It'll work better than the Homelink bridge for sure but it's not been as bad as the reviews say for me. That said, it doesn't always work either but it's not the end of the world for me.

    Homelink Problem

Your homelink isn't compatible with the new standard assuming you got a new opener. You'll need the adapter for it which isn't super reliable and kind of sucks.

So while the Tahoe was with my roommate at the dealership he went ahead and started to put my SS brake lines on as a surprise and then my surprise turned out to be a text saying that my fronts were done but the rear caliper bleeder screws had both snapped clean off. So off I went after work...

    Megan the Tahoe

My roommate took the Tahoe to work with him today to replace the oil pressure sensor for me since it was stuck at 4.59v and wasn't giving any useful information since I got stranded awhile back. He says it's not in my head that my tuning is making it feel noticeably better to drive and more...

I like to as well. I guess I should have said that the original tech attempted to do this but it didn't turn out so well.

Pigtail redone and it might just be in my head but I swear the pedal is more responsive. I know that these are very sensitive to resistance so it's totally possible but who knows. First we remove the crappy crimp connectors that were oversized for the wiring and didn't hold it very well in the...

Not sure because I've only had this Tahoe ~5 months but it IS a factory pigtail so my guess is that a dealer did it. Either way my roommate is sourcing the new crimp tool that GM wants used on current repairs and I'll crimp/solder/heatshrink it this time around to prevent it happening again.

Well the Tahoe stranded me yesterday just as I was about to merge onto the highway at 4:40pm  I saw Reduced Engine Power and the a/c went hot as it slowed to a crawl and died. It would barely stay alive at idle with the a/c off and if I even pressed the brakes it would die. My...

    GMT 800 Towing Package?

I don't believe the towing package added the trans temp gauge but the sensor does indeed exist without it. My '05 has the towing package and no trans temp gauge but I replaced my cluster with a Silverado SS cluster that did have one and it just works by plugging it in.
