So in my 2004 yukon, it has sat for about a month and the battery died so i charged it last night and when to drive it this morning and only the fan speed control is working on the manual climate control, the A/C and defrost switch, the temperature settings nor the vent duct location are...
We'll, funny thing.. I just traded in my yukon on an 2004 suburban Z71 about 2 hours ago.. Bit to answer your question, go with the Bilsteins as there is not much you can do to change how your truck rides other than that.. Maybe replaceing all of the rubber bushings would help too.
So I replaced the shocks today, found that the drivers side shock is still good but the passenger shock is broken and when unbolted it shot out the piston and puked out the oil...
So if anyone wants a good front shock with 15,000 miles on it shoot me a message
I pushed on the front bumper up and down and when I let go the front bounced a few times after... But I noticed when I was driving that the front didn't feel firm and when on the highway when I hit a bump the front would almost shake.. Ordered my Bilsteins yesterday
Update!!!!!
So less than 2 years and 15,000 miles and the front shocks are toast.. Called both edelbrock and summit racing and was told there is nothing to be done.. Guess I'm going to replace the fronts with bilstein.. I was really hoping these would last quite a bit longer than 2 years..
I know this is a few months old but I'm curious about your monster in a box kit livingez_123. I'm looking at rebuilding my tranny and would greatly appreciate your input. Which kit did you get, how happy are you with it? Did you have to order any other parts for your rebuild?
We'll that didn't fix the problem.. I'm guessing that there is something else internally that is wrong. Time for a transmission specialist to look at it.
So I tore into the tranny and this is what I found, got a transgo separator plate, gaskets and thorlin check balls. Put it all together tonight and will finish tomorrow and see if this fixes my problem, QUESTION; could this have damaged my transmission?
So Ill change the separator plate next and if that doesn't fix it I'll take it to a pro..

What is the worst case senecio if the ball has gotten lodged in the separator plate?
Ok so my check engine light came on read read the codes,
First one is B0226 left front speed signal..
Then P0751, shift solenoid A performance or stuck off, so I replaced both solenoids while I was in there took it for a drive and no change, unplugged the battery trying to reset the computer...
I do have 4th gear when driving, I don't have 2nd gear when pressing the accelerator.. But when I am at speed and let my foot off the gas and down shift manually thru each gear I can feel the transmission down shift thru each gearing including 2nd but when I give it gas it goes back into 1st...
I'm dealing with a gremlin.. At first I thought my truck was just shifting into 2nd after I let off the gas at 2500rpm. Changed the 1-2 accumulator and boost valve with no change.. Then realized that I was missing 2nd gear when the truck is up shifting but had 2nd when manually downshifting...
[COLOR="White"]They are sailing marks.. I race a 15' catamaran sailboat.. I had them on there to take them down the beach to the chase boat.. It's a good walk otherwise..
