    99 Yukon cylinder 4 missfire

Ok so it passed emissions and still running great. I found out that in Indiana evap monitor does not have to set. On top of that any vehicle 96 through 2000 can have up to 3 monitors not set

I did not upgrade. The spider harness and injectors looked fairly new and there was evidence that the intake had been opened before me so I just cleaned it very well and put it back together

It runs great! Better than ever. Funny thing when you buy something that doesn't quite run right and drive it like that for awhile thinking you are just using it for the mean time, then decide to fix it and now that it's running the way it is supposed to be it feels weird like something is wrong

The Yukon is basically finished with the major repairs. On top of everything I have mentioned I also replace both front wheel hubs and axles and calipers. Plus all the u joints trans mount, fixed a leak in my t case. And restored the headlights. I still need to swap the pitman arm and tie rods...

Thank you for your reply. I have watched tons of videos and read tons of forums. Nobody seems to be on the same page. A definitive answer would be nice.

    5.7 vortec valve adjustment

I'm just wondering if I can set it by doing each cylinder individually. Just wait for it to be on it's tdc firing position then set intake and exhaust at the same time. And of course doing it in the firing order

    5.7 vortec valve adjustment

ok so I followed the manual to the letter on setting the valve lash and when I was finished about half of the rockers were loose. What am I doing wrong? I have spent way too much money on repairing this thing and I really don't want to bend a rod or pinch a hole through a piston lol

    99 Yukon cylinder 4 missfire

Ok so I started tearing my motor apart after running the compressions test and finding cylinder 4 was low. Found that a big coolant leak in all 4 corners of the lower intake was present and also found a ton of sludge everywhere. I just bought the truck last year so of course I don't know how...

I will take a look at that and see what I come up with. I have not seen anything leaking on the lower intake plenum. But it's really difficult to see in there with everything in the way. And the oil is good. And there isn't any oil in the coolant either
