I love my einkie Rt6's wrapped in 305/50/r20 toyo proxe st2's. I tow alot so its perfect for me andnthe ride is greats! I do wish I had some 24's from time to time.
10k lbs is very dangerous for the trans... my 4l65e reached 280.F while pulling 8k. I upgraded the trans with a Zpak clutches new servos. New sprauge... new deep oil pan. And trans cooler up front... i can confidently/regularly tow 9500lbs with a load distro hitch... if you plan on pulling this...
I ended up going with some ebay OEM style smoked with no amber... just red and white with the smoked finish... im pumped... i think they will look great as soon as my matte black 3m wrap film comes in!
Which i hope to post a write-up all about the install (im doin it myself)
Thanks everybody...
My 06 denali needs new tail lights and there is not alot of info out there besides the obligitory amazon search. Whats out there and what is your experience with the quality, fit, install of different brands. Pics woukd be great.
Thanks guys!
In the 4 grille shells ive done...(all GM)
Ive never fully removed the chrome. Just hit it with some 240-300 grit sand paper then with a ultra high grit 800-1000 grit. 2 coats primer. 3-4 coats color. Then 2-3 clear... done in 2 days.
A good primer base is key... and duplicolor has most gm...
For the last week I have been lugging 8,000lbs around the south west with my 06 Denali xl... I have modded it a little to take the weight better and iy tows like a dream. It tows better than my 06 2500 with a 6.0l.
I got a spectre (aka sphincter) today for $107 from Pepboys. Sounds great. Power increase is barely noticable. Overall quality is ok. The filter seems kinda wonky and not very filtery. Its bo K&N but well see how it does.
We have two sons with a neuromuscular disease called SMA. Both my boys are in wheelchairs. So we have to have a handicap van and when life gives you lemons... put 20s on em and rock them hard!
It did! My 06 denali xl came with a tiny one and it was mounted with the GMC emblem covering it.
I recently had my 4l65e built up to handle my 7500# load i tow.
Between the AFe power deep trans pan and this new cooler hopefully i can keep temps under 220f
