Forgot to ask for a video for the sound. Hoping it’s still kinda mild and not too overbearing. Don’t want to sound like a muscle car and act like a V6 Camaro. :manos:
No offense cause I have the same 5.3L engine.
Same issue. Mine was the right side 3rd row. Fought that seat and called it all kinds of dirty names!! It was also middle of summer and hotter than.... well it was pretty hot. So I’m bent over and fighting and cussing and dripping sweat all over the place. Turns out the seat wasn’t fully latched...
I had the same issue. Drove me and the kids crazy!
My fix was some electricians rubber splicing tape. It’s thicker than regular black electrical tape. You can use foam tape or whatever has a little thickness to it and adhesive on one side. With the window down and door unlocked you can see a...
That gets me really excited for mods on my hoe! Looks like the three items you have plus the tune maybe I could be under $500. That’s much cheaper than what I have been finding.
Thank you Badandyturbo!
Like the rest of us....I would like to know your results. Please keep us posted
Dub is 100% correct with the snake oil "cold air" intake. I never planned to open the intake to the engine compartment. That's the warmest spot to draw air from. The salesman that convinced anyone of that must be the same one that sells Rhino lining for your truck bed :bs:
I appreciate all the...
I have a stock 2014 Yukon XL 5.3 I have read forum after forum about performance mods. I have learned quite a bit but I'm still undecided where to begin. First off I'm not looking to spend $10-15,000 on performance. Very easy to do I know. I want more pep but I don't want to replace the rear...
If you feel it in the floor board then that's it. Before you remove the front driveshaft try to wiggle it to make sure there's no play in that bearing on the transfer case.
I second the u joints. Front output driveshaft. I couldn't tell mine were bad until I removed the shaft. They were froze up. I procrastinated too long and ended up ruining the output shaft bearing on the transfer case. That was expensive. It spun in the housing. Had to replace the whole transfer...
That's the best answer I have had so far. Thank you!
I don't like it but it's the best answer. That means I will need to spend A LOT of money and then gamble on a sucker to buy the old tires and haggle with them
I truly appreciate it!
Change your dash info setting to see your real time fuel mileage. It shows right above that if you are running V8 or V4. That's the only way I made the connection on the vibration. The AFM software activates at light load and little throttle variation. The reason the vibration disappears when...
Possibly the engine changing from V8 to a V4 ?? Mine vibrates in V4 mode and it's annoying. Bullydog has an item that will defeat the V4 mode and make it stay in V8. The dash info center has an option to watch which mode the engine is in.
Not to nit pick but the MSRP for my Yukon as equipped in 2014 was $55K then add taxes and other dealership bull crap charges and a little simple math = $60K. Not sure what your standards are for luxury but for mine this just makes the list.
That being said, thank you for the help. I'll be...
