And for the questions about the PNW and rust. This ain’t Chicago. There’s no body rust or cancer. There’s some “normal” rust in typical places. But it’s solid. We don’t get snow here and the rain is really good undercarriage wash!

Non-AFM flex-fuel 6.2L. The holy grail. And even more so in a Tahoe because that was a one year only option for the GMT-900 body style.

Some might say a Unicorn! 91RS is right, plus it’s a flex fuel.

The cool thing about this is the HP and the big rear end. Plus, none of that sticky lifter stuff. It’s a fast and agile and super reliable truck.

Is the rear end not a 10 bolt? Looks like 3.42 gears and g80. Im so intrigued by this thing

I’ll have to dig into the specs... But I believe regular Tahoes have the 8.5” rear end and this has a 9.5”? The vin decode says this but it doesn’t answer your question. Perhaps someone here will know.
  • AXLE RATIO :)1) - REAR
    3.42, 3.08 3.08 min 3.42 max

I used a different decoder than the standard Chevy forum one and seems to be a 3.42 in yours. Picture of the rpo codes in the glove box would confirm

No, it's a 14-bolt semi-floater with a 9.5" ring gear. These axles were used in GMT900 1500s with the 6.0 (L76) or 6.2 (L92/L9H/L94) that were either RWD or 4x4s. The AWD vehicles used the 8.6 10-bolt axle.

I’ve never seen the 14 bolt on a 4WD.
