Truck is stock except for a BB tune on EFI live. 4x4, 3.73 gears. I do have 35x12.5x17's on it.

You should be fine, provided your transmission is in good shape to begin with. A TransGo HDII shift kit wouldn't be a bad idea.

Keep in mind, the vehicle will still need the same amount of HP to tow the trailer, with or without boost. So essentially you will be towing in a higher gear, than you would otherwise.

We do drop all major brand superchargers, happy to get you info on any.

Sent from my fone.

I've got a Whipple and will be towing a 7k lb boat around....once I fix my melted transmission. The 6L80 didn't like the extra power.

How much boost were you running?

If you are running Whipple's standard tune, that would make sense. They remove all TM from the transmission, which is not safe with that much power.

A supercharger is going to wear everything out years before they would otherwise, that's just the cost of it.

It wasn't the supercharger that took out the tranny, it just exposed the flaring really fast. Had full TM on doing my first WOT run and I flared. Trans was shot before I put on the Whipple.

I had a blower on my 04 Z71 Tahoe. It also had LTs and a cam. Great setup, never an issue!

I installed a Whipple on my 02 Denali a few weeks ago. Install was rough due to their crappy instructions but now it's on it's a blast. Next up is a cam and longtubes. Yee-haw.
