Hey guys, new to the forum here.
Just had a few questions on some common problems that seem my 07 Suburban has had.

First is the Code P0449,
Is it common for the vent valve/solenoid to go out? Its a easy fix but just seeing if this is something common with the Tahoe/Suburbans out there

Another Problem that recently happened was when I disconnected the negative cable on the battery and when I put the cable back on it fried the BCM. (according to the dealer) Couldn't get the truck to start, key fob went out, rear hatch wouldn't open, but my stereo and windows and dash all worked. I know for sure i didnt spark the ground on something. My only guess it was on the last leg of going out and i finished the job. Did a search on google and seemed a few people had it happen to them as well.

Let me know if this is a common problem or not.
Thanks
Nick

I never heard of the BCM frying like that.

If that was the case than how would anyone ever change the battery?

I have a P0449 error still on mine. I replaced the vent soleniod and even purge valve on top of motor and can't get rid of the code. I am going to need to take it into dealer to see why it is still throwing the code when I replaced the part.

BlackedoutLT3,

Additional possibilities are vacuum leaks, damaged hoses, connectors or wiring. Please keep us posted of the results of your dealer visit.

If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact me.
