I'll be picking up my 2004 Denali this weekend and it needs new tires. I know the stock tire size on these Denali's with the chrome 20" wheels is 275/55R/20 if I'm correct, my question is this: what's the max size that I can slap on these wheels without needing to modify anything?

I'm looking to pick up some Nitto - Terra Grappler so everyone's input would be greatly appreciated! :Handshake:

285/50/20 is wider but thiner

305/50/20 fits but with lots of rubbing I believe so that won't work

Thanks, I think I'll go with the 285/50/20's - what do you all think? Anyone have pictures of them on your oem Denali wheels??

285/50/20 is the widest with no mods

275/55/20 is less wider but has a thicker sidewall

I'm currently running a 305 50 20 with no issues.

In the past I have run a 305 55 20 Toyo Open Country A/T with minimal rubbing

I've also got 305/50/20's. I have a tiny bit of rubbing on full-lock turns in reverse in particular. I have no idea why it matters what direction I'm going...one of life's mysteries. My keys were cranked up a year and a half ago, but it's settled and I'm not sitting as high. I have a Denali, so I have full running boards and all and I barely have any issues. The tire itself may have something to do with it. Grapplers are more aggressive on the edges and may stick out a bit further and catch and rub more. I've got Cooper Zeon LTZ's, which are AT tires but not nearly as aggressive in nobbiness, for lack of a more proper term.

Will 305/55/20 work?? I found a set of used Nitto Terra Grapplers + black rims that look like a good deal (if the rims fit).

I have 305/50/20 on factory wheels and just rub a little in the back, the 305/55/20 is what i will get next. You may just have to trim a tad more.

Quick update-
I decided to go with the Nitto's @ 275/55/20

I chose this size because although wider would of been nice, Id rather have my tires be ticker to handle to winter snow in MN better.

TL post a pictures. One of the truck for wheel well detail and one of the tire on the wheel would be nice. I am trying to decide what size tire to get for my 20" SS wheels.

Will do bro, I'm getting it installed tomorrow and I'll post pictures tomorrow afternoon when I get out of the shop.
