I would rough up the rim with some sand paper the spray it with some Duplicolor Adhesion Promoter and then your black.

Spent some time today and painted the parking lights and corner lights. I can't believe how good it turned out. I ended up using krylon fusion for plastic.

roughed the surface with 400 grit sand paper.

taped the areas up with regular painters tape.

Razored off the excess tape

Then flipped it over and painted it

looks better in person!!! I was just in a rush to throw the grill back on because I had plans. I'll try and take a picture tomorrow of it finished and installed.

I went from faded, ****** headlights, fog lights and corners to a really nice HID headlights, LED turn signals and clear corners in one day. Only set me back around $300 for everything too.

While I was at it, I went ahead and did the top reflector project too. Its almost impossible not to scrape the inside plastic with the drill bit when doing it and with clear corners it shows more. I haven't ordered my 194 LED bulbs yet for it, but i think with the bulbs in, it will camo the small scrapes I did.

I have it done, I did a write-up on it over at TF.

What color bulbs did you get for the reflectors?

I haven't ordered any yet. I'm leaning towards white, but think orange might look cool. Not sure

Looks good. Glad you had luck with that fusion junk. I tried painting some plastic trim for my car and it turned out like crap.

Yeah, just silicone the corners to be safe because they will start to collect water and the chrome will start to peel off. Either that or just drill some drain holes.
