Hey guys- just curious what PSI everyone runs?

I have the gloss black 22” wheels with Michelin Defender LTX.

I know spec is 35 PSI but does anyone go higher? I’m currently at 36.5-37 cold.

Biggest concern is keeping outer edge tire wear in sync with the rest of the tread. I know over inflating can cause middle tread wear but I’ve never seen it happen on any of my trucks or SUV’s…

You have to really overinflated for the tread to wear in the middle.

My 3500 wants the rear wheels at 80psi. They wear in the middle but I can’t find a good medium. If I run 50-60 then the sidewalls bulge like they’re low on air. If I run 70-80 the middles bald. I guess that’s the price of running an HD vehicle

My Yukon with 22s I fill right under 40 and never have any uneven balding issues.

When I purchased my Michelin Defenders, I call Michelin Tech Support and asked them about their recommended tire pressure. They told me to use the tire pressure recommended by GM for my truck. So far, no tire wear issues.

I'm pretty sure the door calls for 36 lbs cold.

Edit: Just double-checked, and that's what mine says.

Not that it’s a big difference but I have a Yukon XL SLT and my door spec is 35 PSI.

I also run the ltx I run them 2 psi higher than the door. On two tahoes Currently 38 psi on the factory 22” wheel.
I also get pretty good mpg on my unmodified 23/24 Tahoes
Sometimes 23/25mpg highway.
