I did my 2017 at about 80k. It cost me about 1/4 can of carb cleaner, 1 old tooth brush, 3 rags, and 15 minutes of time......oh and 1 beer just because.
Do it yourself and save the $$
There are ways to think:
1. OMG!!!!! It had a major warranty repair. Engine....EEK!. Cue the run away
2. Person who knows something about vehicles. Wow! A new engine that fixed issues?! Score! It'll last longer. Total win!
While I didn't like your first post because I am an ex 'mouth breathing moron," I do understand what you are saying. I am a lucky guy to have had excellent mentors over my learning years and consider myself above average when it comes to mechanical/electrical understanding and comprehension...
MVI3 from HP TUNERS site. You will probably need 2 credits. Cost to your door will be about $500. Download MVI Suite from their site free to your computer.
One arrived, plug in MVI3 to computer after downloading and installing software. Go to the help menu and do a resync device (don't have...

But in all seriousness, I'd look on FB marketplace or similar for someone with HP tuners that can just toggle the AFM switch OFF for you. It's 2 credits $(100), plus whatever for their time and you are back in business.
I just got HP TUNERS for my 2008 and...
One more thing to add. Be sure to clean the piston and caliper pad face to remove any corrosion with a smooth file - want it uniform. Wipe clean. Then apply a thin layer of high temp silicone to the pad shims when reinstalling.
Based on what has been shared, I think with some new rotors and...
I'd check wheel bearings to make sure they don't have play djarnis causing the rotor to move and drag on the pads when moving.
Does it go away with light pressure or heavy brake pressure? Front or rear? Can you pinpoint it near a building or cement wall?
