Hey all. I went ahead with an Apple car play upgrade on my 15 yukon. However the company sent me the io6 box programmed to my vin. I know where that goes behind the glove box. But they also sent me an xm satellite receiver box. I have no clue where this is located? I’d appreciate some insight before I rip apart my dash looking for it!

    thanks for any help!

follow the wires? my guess is it's going to be very close to the i06 module or right behind the screen, on previous radio's it was built into the headunit.

Well I’m not trying to tackle this task blind. I wanted to see if anyone could Atleast direct me. It doesn’t seem like pulling the radio is as simple as it is in earlier models

There should be you tubes available to show this process. Maybe try a Google search. The companies that sell these products usually have a video showing how to do the install.

very simple it's just a screen connected with cables, empty spaces behind it with a couple modules, the rest is up behind the glove box

i did Figure it out though. However when i said this radio isn’t as simple as the older years. I was right. The 15 yukon has 5 panels that need to be removed before you can even take the radio bezel off. Older models. You can just yank the dash bezel off. Remove some wire clips and your radios right there...

In conclusion.. just in case someone actually does need help. The xm receiver is behind the Hvac controls. The radio does not have to come out to access this box.

i haven’t found a video that walks you through. They only show samples and sell you the rest of the video when you purchase through them.. The company I bought mine from did send me a tutorial after I emailed and asked.

I guess it depends on if you have a center console or not, on my silverado a pry tool and 7mm socket and it all comes apart pretty easy and it looks like the xm module is the top one behind the screen panel.
