Thanks guys! Happy to report today that after 220k+ of service our Tahoe's radiator has called it quits. No over heating, the sound of the fans caught my attention as I arrived home. The temps were just moving past 210 on the gauge.

time for an al-u-mi-ni-um upgrade.

Make sure it has a restrictor for the overflow tank or your engine won’t heat up.

haha. When we bought the truck almost a decade ago, gas prices were HIGH(er) in CA, $120-150 a tank from Honda $45 was a jump for sure. Hence the SN and avatar.

I'm no photographer, nor editor extraordinaire but I've been inspired lately to post "better" images and decided to try some editing. I liked the angles of this image so I chose to play with it using some online downloads. LMK what you guys think.

Dude... SoCal gas prices are back that right now... lol sadly Los Angeles prices are similar to what I’m paying now in big bear. It’s pathetic. Thank god for going off the mountain and being able to ustilize Costco and vons rewards points at vons gas lol.
Nice photo edit by the way! Looks good!

Thanks Rocket, the aluminum radiator i was privileged to didn't work out ATM. The core dimensions were a few inches too short. I would have had to ditch the OE electric fans for aftermarket fans and shroud.

Added to the memory bank. I still plan to do the aluminum mod one day.

Finished the job up using the good ol coolant buddy.
- Test fit aluminum rad (I'll be using this data later on)
- Replace Lower Hose
- Replace Radiator w/ oe plastic design
- Coolant
- Burp system & test drive. All is well with no leaks.
