I think I found it. It was cutting the fender wall of the intake box right?

Yes. There is a plastic brace that runs diagonally across the "mouth" of the intake box. I cut that out and the corresponding metal on the inner fender.

How accurate is the dashlogic with boost?

so far, it has been very accurate for me. i have 3 bar sensor installed.

gat0r is correct. The OEM MAP doesn’t read higher than 2psi. I too have GM’s 3 bar sensor but it can’t be installed until the tuning is done. The boost reading without an additional gauge/mount/etc. is the main reason for my buying this DashLogic/AutoMeter DL1061U.

So the dashlogic will read correct with the 3bar and the whipple canned tune?
Does the whipple kit come with the 3 bar map sensor?

Whipple’s tune requires the factory installed MAP be re-used, unfortunately. Upgrading to GM’s 3 bar MAP requires a re-tune.
