Minimum tow one way is 40 miles and often as much as 120 to 150 miles one way. Really need 4-wheel drive but not full time. Don't want the wear and tear and poor gas mileage of full time 4WD for no reason.

The K2s do not come with AWD, that was limited to the GMT900 Escalades and Denalis with the 6.2. Both names could still be had in RWD. I thought the same thing too but learned on this here forum that increased wear and less mpg are not really true.

I'd be looking for a K2 4x4 with a 2-speed transfer case, which would have HD Towing package and the 6.2 motor in a Suburban or Yukon XL, long wheelbase tows nicer.

It looks like the suburban with the 6.2 part time 4 wheel drive. Guys, thank you so much for the input!
