I wish I could find a heated steering wheel, the arthritis in my hands would love this in the winter months. It seems all of them have been bought up, and they are discontinued from GM... It's really sad. I have searched for over a year and it's hopeless. I refuse to get a used one, so I've been searching for good heated gloves instead.
Get a used one and have a shop rewrap it factory fresh

I love the heated steering wheel. My finish is terrible though. What's the best way to go about refreshing that so it looks new?

one may show up sooner or later, if you do a search on ebay you can save the search and ebay will send you a email if one gets listed within the next year, after 1 year you have to check a box to re-subscribe to the search. A new wood trim heated one may still be available I think I asked my dealer about one a few months ago and they told me was like $400+
a quick search on ebay shows $405.00 (out of stock) p/n: 22947810

If you're talking about your leather--you can get it professionally refinished, or they sell leather skins that you sew on yourself, from ebay. Sounds harder then what it really is.

Put air in a tire. It was about 5 psi low and I had to put a couple psi in a couple days ago too.

Sprayed some soap solution around the stem and along the bead and found these bubbles. Looks like a small leak along the bead right where the wheel weight is attached

Annoying. Weight or corrosion?

Not sure, but I've never had a problem with it up till this past week. All looks OK. Guess I'll have to take it into a shop and have them check it out. The tire still has plenty of tread left.

On our 2007 with OEM chrome rims, had to take them in every so often and have them polish the bead seat and put sealant on it. Finally got tired of that and the flaking chrome and went with after market rims. Never had a problem with that after I switched.

Picked up a 6 x12 U-Haul trailer this morning for a 100 mile run north to pick up some furniture with the whole family aboard along with tools and hand trucks and what not in the truck. At 71 mph she averaged 14.5 mpg on 93 octane @ 0% alcohol content on the way up. On the way back, loaded down with an extra 900 pounds or so, she averaged 13.9 mpg at the same speed. Tires were set to 47 psi cold, they were 52 psi up front and 54 psi for the rears when hot.

The transmission temp at speed got down to 156 with an ambient temp of 82 outside on the trip north and 162 headed back down south. Coming off the highway and entering town on the way up the transmission temp got to 183 in city driving, about 7 miles worth of stop and go along with a steep climb over a bridge to Merritt Island.

The old girl done good!

Thats bead corrosion. Likely going to need to do have the bead polished up.

Then to top off and end the day, wife comes home from work about 8pm and has a flat tire. I pulled it off the car to look at it and found a roofing nail in the tread. Now I gotta fix that tomorrow too.
