Also, installed new radio with a backup camera, removed six disc CD changer and replace with a cubby, and remove both cigarette lighters and installed fast charging USBs and a connector for Apple CarPlay. And put in a WeatherTech mat in the back as well as polishing the d pillars just to see how the would turn out. What you think?

They look good! How did you polish them? Mine need a little love...

That's a good looking pair! How many miles and what did you give for it, if you don't mind sharing?

I used a DA with a cutting compound and then a polishing pad with polish.

The black one has 120k and I paid way too much, but I wanted it!

The new to me XL, well, let's just say that I didn't even offer the absolute lowest kbb trade in for it! It has 218k on it with a new transfercase.

I honestly think he just didn't want to deal with listing it on marketplace and he knew that love these trucks and I would take care of it.

We are making it our OBX vehicle.

Great looking pair! The XL Denali's look great in that color. The blacks do too but I feel like the black loses a little character by hiding some of the lines. Nice purchase!

I go check out different junk yards just to look and see what is out there. Usually not looking for anything (I'm retired, gives me something to do during the week). Found a rear hatch glass from a '06 Tahoe. It has the plastic piece going across the top and the border less glass. Easy to put on. Goes with the Escalade d pillars.

Took my girl to my indy yesterday. Needs ANOTHER oil pressure sensor. Original lasted 19 years. This is the 5th one in 2 years. Getting a new drivers side mirror put on. Glass broke. And getting a good once over to get her prepared for winter. New tires are next week.

Well called my indy and told him while he has it, to go ahead and do new plugs and wires. Thought about it last night and realized it has been almost 80,000 miles since they were done! I will get her back later today or tomorrow. Just doing maintenance so I won't have to during the winter.

I actually drove it this past weekend. Ever since I got a new job a few months ago with a take home work van, I have not really been driving my Burban very much. When I am off on the weekends, I usually take the wife's Traverse because we will usually be going somewhere TOGETHER. But this weekend I was working on a project outside, and I had to go get some lumber and paving stones. So I drove the Suburban for the first time in well over a month. My wife is saying that I should sell it now, but I don't really want to. We have too many vehicles parked at the house now. I DEFINITELY need to sell the shitbox Dodge Intrepid for sure. My daughter was driving that for a while, but now she bought a newer car.

put mine on a Deltran Battery Tender to bring the battery up to full capacity as it has been sitting in the garage while I flirted with work on a 2012 Chevy Traverse for the last month...

...the Traverse went to Carmax yesterday so my Denali will be hitting the road for errands today...

Beyotch tried to bite me today--my own fault tho.20250920_163317.jpg20250920_163434.jpg
It WAS straight when I backed into the driveway to do the rear brakes. I was jacking up the passenger side--I already had the wheel off with some blocks underneath. Blocks were a little cocked when I let the jack down, so I wanted to adjust them some. I moved the jack under the pumpkin and started jacking, got higher and the jack twisted then it fell off the jack and the ***** fell to the right. I was lucky today.

EDIT--Forgot to mention--The rear ps wheel is completely off, and the jack is trapped under the rearend sideways, putting the rotor almost on the ground. FUN.....

Been driving the Yukon for a month now and dealing with a musty smell. I pulled the carpet out when I first got it, washed it and let it dry before putting it back in. Well, today I went on a little over an hour drive and went to get some tools I sat in the passenger floor board only to find the bottom was wet and the carpet was too. There is plenty of condensation dripping under the car but I must have a leak somewhere

If its been raining a lot in your area recently, there is a good chance its the HVAC inlet service port. there is a hole in the cowl that has a plastic cover over it. Its got a gasket and is installed at the factory before the vehicle is painted. With the age of these trucks its pretty common for the gasket to fail. When that happens water sheds down the windshield, to the cowl then right into the HVAC case, which then spills over to the floor.

Pull the cowl panel, wash all the dirt off then seal it up with RTV of choice. I had a tube of ultra black that I used and it fixed my leak.

Thanks but it hasn’t rained here in a good month. I may check it just to make sure tho, as you said with the age of these I wouldn’t doubt it leaks also.

You referring to this?
