ok so i installed my rear 2/3 McGaughy's lowering kit for my 2004 z71 tahoe but as i was lowering the truck the left rear spring was loose and the right rear spring wasn't. so i figured that when i put the tires back on and put the truck back on the ground the spring would tight up. So it did, but my problem is that the left rear sits lower than the right rear. could it be cause the spring isnt cemented all the way with the factory rubber piece atop the spring?! here are some pictures if that might help.

Hey john, how much is the difference side to side and are you sure both springs are seated properly?

thats wat i was thinkin, the right side sat properly but i had trouble with the left so that might be the problem and left rear is at 33 1/2 in. the right rear is at 34 in. and the front right is at 35 in. and the front left is 35 1/2 in.

Did you install a key/coil kit or a spindle/coil kit? It seems like you may need to adjust your torsion bars to level out the front.

I have a spindle kit but I haven't installed it yet, could that be the reason why it's off?!

I wouldn't freak out until everything is installed, then take measurements and see what tweaks need to be made up front to balance it out. You "should" see the driver side sit a little lower just because that's how GM trucks are, the infamous chevy lean.

NP John, if you still have problems after everything is done, get under the truck and take pics of how everything sits. That's the best way to make sure there's not some other problem.

well by saying one spring is loose while the other is not from the get go. I would check the spring placement. When I did min I had to lift the the rear just enough to get allow me to snug it into the correct position. DId you take pre measurements before your drop?
I had to also had to adjust my torsion bars to get the front to match height. I was only 1/4 off I think. Right now I am sitting at 33 1/2" in the front and 34 1/2" in the rear on 305/40/22.. I need to check with others but I maybe rubbing the wheel well on turns but not sure yet. I just glanced at the spot but have n ot got around to checking...

Have one, it's not the be all, end all, but it is a great addition to a good suspension. What happened with this John? Get it sorted?
