I've been having a weird sound periodically on my 2015 Denali XL 4wd. It would happen every few weeks about a year ago. It's happening more frequently.
It's a weird tinny / clunking sound. It sounds like a cover on the exhaust is loose. My mechanic and I couldn't find anything loose.
It generally happens when you have to brake, make a turn and then give it gas. Getting off an exit on the highway is a good example where I'd typically hear it. I can't duplicate it on demand. My mechanic couldn't get the truck to do it either.
The rattling feels like it's coming from the drivetrain. I get a little more hesitation in the throttle when it happens.
It was infrequent in the past. It's happening more often - but not everyday.
The truck is in 2wd mode. I'm not driving aggressive. It can happen whether the truck is cold or hot.
