I got tired of my AC smelling like mold so I installed a cabin air filter using the retrofit kit. I spent a lot of time cleaning out the HVAC box to ensure it was good to go, and that the drain line was clear.
I drove around with the fan only for two days to make sure the box was dry.
Installed the cabin filter and drove ~ 2 hours with the AC on. I pull into the driveway and turn off the AC, leaving just the fan blowing so I could dry out the box. Instead of blowing everything out the drain, I’m getting water pushed out of the HVAC box and onto the passenger side carpet. There is no indication that the water came from where I made the cut for the cabin filter, so what’s my next troubleshooting recommendation?
