Any 2500 or larger vehicle with a gas motor doesn't have AFM. The 6.0L in that 2007 is a Rockstar!! The newer LS 6.0L motors have more power and a little better efficiency than the 2000-06 models do. Plus, the exhaust rumble with factory exhaust is very soothing as well. I put 165K on my 2015 work truck and it never needed any attention other than basic maintenance. 10/10 would recommend

I know that the 2500 suburban was available with 4 wheel steering too in those years. They looked pretty cool. It would be fun to own one.

Those were the years I was referring to. 4 wheel steering was done after that body style. If you plan on trailering a lot with it like you mentioned, I'd probably opt for the 8.1L. Driven correctly, they still returned food fuel economy. A guy I know had the 8.1L avalanche and was able to get up to 19 mpg on road trips which is quite respectable for a larger vehicle.

Even the 8.1 is an option but if just the right 6.0 shows up, I would look that way. I know the 8.1 has typically the full float axle too and of course higher weight towing capacity. Decisions decisions. decisions.

You had mentioned the 2007 and I shy away from that years and newer.

This is a definite candidate but I hate dealing with dealers and they will not commit to the engine top/cover. I hate the Bull Bar too and know I would remove asap.

Price seems awfully high for a stripped LS with that kind of mileage. Never mind that used car prices are softening, that's maybe $10k-$11k.

If it was an 8.1/4.10, then yes, more-reasonable price.

You are correct, prices starting to tinkle down but the dealers still think they have gold. I don't mind the stripped down LS version but that price irks me. Been that price for going on 2 months.
