2015 Tahoe LT 212,000 miles
Happened a few times yesterday whike on an 8 hour trip. All stock.
While driving, a light static comes from the radio for a few minutes. Then the dash resets. Like when its first started up. No radio sound and none of the bhttons or controls work. About 15 minutes later the radio works. Hopefully someone has seen this or knows where to start. Any ideas?

The radio/climate control is effing up. Had it happen on my 2017. It's a whole unit that comes as one. Stupid, cheap design.

Is it easy to replace? Got a part number? Thanks for your response!

Yes, but it needs to be programmed to the vehicle. I've found them on FB for as low as 150

Battery cables. The hotter they get the more the internal resistance increases, and the less voltage gets through. The radio gets cut first as it is the least important power drawing item.
