I once had this problem a few years ago and when I was having trouble finding the exact same truck I told the insurance company to help find it. And they did and trucked it 2600 miles on a flat bed. Thay paid all the expenses and the extra ir cost as they didn't negotiate the price.

Fly up to michigan, get employee discount or friends discount if you qualify and drive it home. Lots of availability of here

Even if you dont "qualify" ...just ask and you'll likely get it. Ask me how I know. I flew into MI from PA to get mine with this discount.

Good advice regarding going out of State. Have you checked the surrounding States (Louisiana, New Mexico, Arkansas, etc.) to see if they have what you are looking for?
