how many of you have taken your hoe down the track. I went to the track last night and i needed to take my truck thru tech in order to get a wristband to drive the other cars we had out there, so i figured i'd take it for a pass. ran 17.9 will a full system and a bunch of crap in the back from the other cars and bad tires. not bad imo, besides, it is a truck. I figure it can get in the mid to low 16's with intake exhaust and tune. and a bit of weight reduction. lol.

anyway, i had to go thru tech to show my friends how to drive.
took the honda down the track, fastest they had gotten was 17.3, i ran a 17.1, slow but who cares.

And the real reason we went out, took the 300ZX N/A down the track.
fastest they had was 14.65, pulled off a 14.538. not bad considering thats what a stock TT runs, its actually faster than a stock TT iirc.

fun times tho. i wasnt gonna run, but my gf insisted i take em down the track cuz she knew i'm a better driver, and she claims I'm just "so hott" when i race. lmao.

so what u guys runnin in your hoes?

i can run a 15.9 all day long on 92 octane. But on 87 i run a 16.4 thats with my full system. Sound proofing. And everything else.

never ran my hoe : (
I raced one of the TAs all stock(not one thing was changed on the TA) ran 13.2 with original tires from 2001. lol my first time ever ever racing, and i couldn't tell ya how much fun it was.. i beat 5 different styles and different year mustangs that were all heavily modified. pretty pathetic huh? your telling me. lol.. i wish i had the lists of the mods they did to their mustang. They had exhausts, CAI, tunes, one was SC'd, heads, cam, all that shit.. oo well..

i know that feeling. there were a couple guys out there who were thinkin they were cool. even one honda runnin 15s, which honestly isnt bad for a honda. thought he was gonna beat me in the 300... haha. i walked him so hard. he was so mad that he insisted on passing me even after the 1/4 was over. gotta admit, the track is fun, but only if your driving stick. the hoe was so boring down the track.. gas and wait... lol

yea for sure. but i dont know how i would do under pressure on a stick.. a couple of those mustangs were stick and they beat the pisss out of those trannys. you can just tell and hear when someone either missed a gear or was slipping in it with not enough clutch. lol.. Yikes. to much for me tho.

i think thats why my friend couldnt beat my time. He's only been drivin stick for about a year, and for the last 6 months his car was out of commission. you could tell he was nervous. plus, his trannys going out and his clutch is bad, but he doesnt care since he plans on a TT swap. I was pissed tho. if that car had a good clutch, i know i wouldve had it in the 13's.

Hey guys, I'm here. I'm also hangin around on both places, like most of you guys.

Been busy with a bunch of other projects and just not finding much that needs my narrow band of expertise here. lol

On Track times, I have never had a "clean" run yet, this is after all, just the tow vehicle for going to the track. A wide variety of little problems like alcohol plumbing coming apart and falling into the throttle plates holding them open. Each time something like that happens, it requires a redesign of something and then a few weeks later, trying again.

I also need to take my T/C out and have it adjusted for stall rpm's. They cut it apart, make the adjustment and then weld it back together again. It was not at the rpm's they thought it would be, so consequently, the turbo's are not in full, "oh my God", at launch.

I will get it all figured out eventually, so it will be able to keep up with the Camaro, at least part way down the track.

Meanwhile, I'm just keeping a low profile............. :)
